Typical beam bracing connections occur between structural steel framing and overhead floor or roof assemblies. A structural tee section (L 3x3x1/4) is welded with a 3/16 inch fillet weld and bolted with a 3/8 inch plate and 3/4 inch diameter A307 bolts. Additional anchorage uses 5/8 inch diameter expansion anchors with a 4 inch embedment into concrete over metal deck, utilizing a 1/2 inch plate and a 1 1/2 inch slotted hole.
