This three-hour rated interior partition features 3-5/8 inch steel studs framed with a 3 inch sound attenuation blanket in the cavity. One side is finished with three layers of 5/8 inch gypsum board applied over 1/2 inch resilient furring channels, while the opposing side receives two layers of 5/8 inch gypsum board. The entire assembly achieves an STC rating of 62 and corresponds to Underwriters Laboratories design UL U419. Total basic partition thickness measures 7-1/8 inches.
