This wall mounting detail shows a grab bar anchored to metal studs through a ceramic tile or FRP and cementitious board finish. A twelve gauge steel anchoring plate is welded to the metal studs to provide backing support, supplemented by marine plywood at wet areas. The grab bar is secured using stainless steel machine screws supplied by the manufacturer and finished with a stainless steel escutcheon plate.
