A hollow metal door frame with a six-inch overall width is installed adjacent to a concrete masonry unit wall and filled with solid grout. Masonry T-anchors spaced at a maximum of twenty-four inches on center secure the frame, requiring a minimum of four anchors per jamb. Continuous type three sealant is applied on both sides of the frame interface with a half-inch joint. The steel frame profile provides a two-inch jamb depth connecting to the masonry opening.
