An interior hollow metal door frame connects to adjacent gypsum board partitions over metal stud framing. Perimeter sealant matches the frame paint color at the joint between the gypsum board and the frame. The interior of the hollow metal frame is filled with sound attenuation insulation at STC rated doors. Sound attenuation insulation is also installed within the stud cavity as scheduled.
