This transition detail shows scheduled stone meeting scheduled tile across a stone threshold over a depressed concrete slab. An anti-crack and uncoupling membrane is installed directly over the depressed slab beneath both finish materials. Float mortar is applied to achieve a level surface of finished material across varying thicknesses. Grout fills the joints between the threshold and adjacent flooring materials.
