An aluminum storefront frame is set within a rough opening of a concrete tilt-up panel. The frame is aligned against plastic shims and secured with fasteners, with sealant applied at each fastener location. A three-quarter-inch chamfer is detailed on the exterior edge of the concrete panel. Sealant and a backing rod seal the joint between the frame and the concrete substrate on the exterior, while caulking finishes the interior transition. Metal studs with gypsum board furring occur at the interior where indicated.
