A one-quarter-inch-thick solid wood base is applied directly to the outer layer of a gypsum board wall assembly. The partition construction type is referenced elsewhere in the drawings, and the wood base finish is determined per the interior finish schedule. Floor finish and base height are coordinated per the finish plan and finish schedule.
