This wall base detail shows a metal stud partition anchoring to a cast-in-place concrete topping slab over a structural slab with insulation below. The four-inch metal studs are spaced at sixteen inches on center with a bottom runner track secured by powder-actuated fasteners having a minimum one-eighth-inch shank and one-and-one-quarter-inch embedment. The wall assembly features five-eighth-inch gypsum board finished with Golmex plaster, transitioning to a quarter-inch bent steel plate adhered with continuous beads of adhesive and angle brackets at thirty-two inches on center. A sealant over fiber joint filler is provided at the base joint above the terrazzo finish specified on the finish plan.
