The aluminum curtain wall jamb sits against the face of a concrete column. A continuous sealant joint with a backer rod fills the gap between the curtain wall frame and the concrete substrate to provide a weather-tight seal. The curtain wall assembly is installed as scheduled, with additional sealant applied at the interior and exterior interface points to ensure proper moisture management.
