This assembly consists of a 6-inch thick Portland cement concrete slab placed directly over a 6-inch thick aggregate base course. The pavement system must be installed over suitable natural soils or structural site grading fill that extends down to suitable natural soils. Rigid pavements are prohibited from being established over non-engineered fills.
