An exterior wall movement joint assembly features steel studs with batt insulation, glass mat sheathing, a fluid-applied water-resistive barrier, and one and one-half inches of continuous rigid insulation beneath a composite stone panel system. The movement joint is sealed with a pre-formed ultra-low-modulus silicone rubber extrusion with silicone seal bonded to the water-resistive barrier and backed with mineral wool packing. Overall dimensions and finish face clearances are dimensioned relative to the structural grid line.
