An interior aluminum storefront system and slider aluminum door system intersect at a structural steel tube corner column. The aluminum framing is secured with number 12 by two and one-half inch pan head screws at sixteen inches maximum on center typical, with fasteners subject to deferred approval for spans over ten feet. Backer rod and sealant are applied to both sides of the frame junction. An 18 gauge sheet metal trim finish matches the paint of the hollow metal frame. One-quarter inch glazing is set within the aluminum framing, and anchors are installed per the manufacturer's requirements.
