This assembly consists of a central steel column, sized per structural plans, enclosed by a square frame of 1 5/8 inch metal studs. The perimeter of the enclosure is finished with 5/8 inch gypsum board on all four sides. The total exterior dimension of the enclosure is 16 1/2 inches by 16 1/2 inches, centered on the column axis.
