A rated fire extinguisher cabinet is installed within a minimum six-inch metal stud or chase partition construction to satisfy one- or two-hour partition requirements with forty-five, sixty, or ninety-minute opening requirements. Acoustical insulation is included where required per the specific partition type. A two-and-one-half-inch dimension governs the projection and clearance of the cabinet assembly.
