A hollow metal frame ties into a brick veneer wall assembly featuring a fluid-applied vapor permeable air and water barrier. Existing gypsum board is patched and repaired where exposed adjacent to the frame head. A sealant bead and backer rod seal the joint between the frame and the exterior wall assembly. The scheduled door is installed within the five and three-quarter inch deep hollow metal frame profile.
