This roof expansion joint detail features a water stop and reinforced membrane installed over rigid insulation. A non-reinforced flashing layer is secured using a fastener and fastening plate installed per the manufacturer recommendations. A stainless steel clamping ring provides positive mechanical attachment at the joint termination. All membrane and sealant installations follow manufacturer specifications for proper waterproofing continuity across the expansion gap.
