A 1 1/2 inch diameter outside-diameter steel pipe handrail is mounted above a 4 inch concrete curb. The center of the handrail is positioned 2 feet 10 inches above the finished surface. A note specifies to extend the handrail 1 foot 0 inches beyond the top and bottom of the ramp runs, with the paint color selected by the architect.
