An aluminum window system mullion is set against framing per plans with shims as required for proper alignment. The joint between the window frame and the wall is sealed with backer rod and sealant, and finished with a pre-finished aluminum closure matching the exterior insulation and finish system wall. A nine-inch self-adhered flashing and a six-inch self-adhered flashing integrate with the weather-resistive barrier over exterior sheathing to provide continuous water protection. The exterior insulation and finish system is applied over a compatible adhesive with a drainage system installed per the manufacturer's specifications. Any penetrations in the waterproofing membrane or weather-resistive barrier must be fully sealed.
NOTE: ANY PENETRATIONS IN WATER PROOFING MEMBRANE/WRB SHALL BE FULLY SEALED.
