A six-inch concrete pour-in-place wall bears on a concrete footing measuring three feet wide by fourteen inches deep, reinforced with three continuous number five bars and number four bars at eighteen inches on center. The footing and wall provide support for six-inch concrete slabs on both sides, reinforced with number three bars at eighteen inches on center each way. A two-inch diameter pipe sleeve is cast into the top of the wall to receive a tube steel handrail, anchored by a three-by-three by one-quarter inch plate welded to the sleeve. Vertical reinforcement consists of number four bars at twelve inches on center at the panel centerline, tied to horizontal number four bars at twelve inches on center.
