A 12-gauge steel clip matching the stud width is attached to two wall studs using four number 10 sheet metal screws at each stud. A lateral bracing wire connects to the clip and is fastened with a minimum of four tight turns within a one-and-a-half-inch distance. The assembly provides upper lateral support for a partition wall specified per schedule.
