A galvanized sheet metal vent passes through a framed wall assembly as specified in the finish schedule. The joint between the vent and the wall is sealed with a foam backer rod and a flexible caulk filled joint. Joint clearances range from one-quarter inch minimum to five-eighths inch maximum.
