A dark room status light is mounted at an eight-inch typical offset from the top of the door frame, aligned vertically with the top of the frame. A control switch is positioned at a door or cased opening with an eight-inch typical horizontal offset from the frame edge. The centerline of the switch is set at three feet nine inches above the finished floor.
