An aluminum storefront sill is set in a full bed of sealant over a window rough opening with a matching finish and welded closed ends at the exterior projection. A zero-point-zero-nine-zero-inch prefinished aluminum sill features a zero-point-zero-four-inch backer plate at sill splices and one-quarter-inch by one-inch weep holes located three inches from the ends and spaced at twenty-four inches on center. Air-water-resistive barrier flashing runs along the rough opening preparation. A continuous bead of sealant seals the joint at the interior solid surface stool which is secured with stainless steel fasteners at a maximum of twelve inches on center. The assembly rests on a framed wall as scheduled with continuous beds of sealant at each flange.
