A mechanical louver is mounted atop a framed wall assembly utilizing box beam framing and cold-formed metal framing filled with batt insulation rated at R-10 minimum. The louver rests on shims and a continuous sill pan flashing featuring an end dam extending beyond the return at the cavity. A continuous backer rod and sealant joint seal the interface beneath the prefinished sill extrusion. The exterior features an insulated concealed fastener metal panel system, while the interior is finished with five-eighths inch gypsum board. The cold-formed metal subcontractor engineers the supports, angles, and anchors necessary to secure the mechanical louvers.
