An inside corner flashing detail is constructed using a single L-piece of twenty-six gauge G90 galvanized bonderized sheet metal corner flashing set in a full bed of sealant. The flashing features four-inch minimum overlaps with adjacent L-flashings at all joints and is soldered at all interior corners. The backing assembly consists of two layers of five-eighths-inch type X glass-mat faced exterior gypsum board on each side at the top, tied together with a backer rod and sealant, protected by a weather-resistant self-adhering waterproof exterior finish barrier. Sealant is required along the full length of all horizontal and vertical legs of the flashing at all laps and joints.
