A sixteen-gauge hollow metal door frame assembly is secured to a gypsum board partition with eighteen-gauge steel Z-clips. The partition is constructed with single twenty-two-gauge steel studs at the jambs and a single steel twenty-two-gauge track at the head, with a twelve-gauge channel required for head tracks over forty-two inches in length. The assembly is faced with five-eighths-inch gypsum board on each side. The Z-clips are welded to the frame and spaced at a minimum of two per head and three per jamb, and the frame is factory primed for field painting.
