A 1 1/2-inch diameter painted steel pipe handrail transitions into a top landing with a 12-inch extension. The 1 1/4-inch diameter painted steel pipe posts are spaced at a maximum of 4'-0" on center and anchored into the concrete stair structure. A standard height of 3'-0" is maintained from the nosing of the tread to the top of the rail. All connections are welded and ground smooth per typical construction notes.
