Suspended ceiling hanger wires and lateral bracing wires attach to structural steel beams using ceiling clips and steel straps. At open-web steel joists, vertical hanger wires and bracing wires secure to the bottom chord and web members using saddle ties. Bracing wires must run parallel to the joist and cannot be installed perpendicular to it.
