A steel pipe guardrail and handrail assembly features vertical posts and intermediate balusters spaced evenly. The top rail is constructed from a one-and-one-half-inch steel pipe positioned at three feet six inches above the nosing. A separate handrail made from a one-and-one-half-inch standard steel pipe attaches to each post using a handrail bracket at three feet above the nosing. An intermediate rail runs horizontally between the top rail and the base, matching the one-and-one-half-inch steel pipe size. Intermediate balusters of one-and-one-half-inch steel pipe are provided typically at the stair nosing.
