An aluminum storefront system head and sill junction is set into a tilt-up concrete wall opening. The storefront framing is anchored directly to the concrete substrate using manufacturers' specified anchors. Perimeter gaps are sealed with a sealant joint backed by backer rod at each side, supported by shims as required. The concrete wall features chamfered opening edges to receive the exterior sealant bead.
