This assembly details a tile-to-base flashing transition over a cold-formed steel framed wall with five-eighths-inch exterior sheathing. A self-adhered flashing is applied over a weather-proof barrier and roof membrane. Two rows of backer rod and elastic sealant provide joint waterproofing at the transition. A tile filler, bonded at the plant, sits adjacent to the backer rod and sealant assembly.
