The assembly consists of a Portland cement concrete curb of Class A mix, measuring 12 inches high and 10 inches wide at the top. The curb is reinforced longitudinally with two number 4 bars at the top and bottom with 3 inches of clear cover from the sides. Base support includes variable base rock and a lime treatment layer installed per the geotechnical report. Number 4 hooked bars are placed over continuous bars every 24 inches. Adjacent paving consists of asphaltic concrete or concrete paving bearing on the base rock layer.
