This wall section details a hollow metal frame installed within a gypsum wallboard partition supported by metal studs. The gypsum wallboard is fastened to the metal studs using drywall screws sized and spaced per manufacturer requirements. The hollow metal frame features a throat sized to match the wall type and is anchored to the floor while attaching to the metal studs according to standard manufacturer recommendations. A continuous tooled bead of joint sealant is applied around the perimeter of the frame on both sides. The frame is finished with two coats of paint.
