This double-stud partition wall assembly consists of two parallel rows of three-and-five-eighths-inch cold-formed metal stud framing separated by an eleven-inch air space. Each stud cavity is filled with sound attenuation batt insulation to improve acoustic performance. Both sides of the wall receive five-eighths-inch gypsum wall board layers finished per the interior schedule. The overall dimension of the assembly measures one foot seven and one-half inches between outer finishes.
