An exterior wall and soffit junction occurs at a Level 2 cross-laminated timber slab edge supported by glue-laminated timber framing. The exterior edge incorporates a pre-finished exterior glue-laminated vertical fin connected via a steel angle with a kerf plate, with metal composite material wall panels and pre-finished cedar siding tied back over mineral board insulation and a weather-resistive barrier. A foil-faced self-adhesive air and vapor membrane wraps the slab edge beneath pre-finished break metal flashing. The underside of the overhang features a pre-finished cedar soffit transitioning down to a glazed timber curtain wall with an aluminum-clad exterior below.
