A guardrail post connects to a galvanized MC12x10.6 channel stringer. A one-inch deep galvanized steel grate platform bears on a two-inch by two-inch by three-sixteenth-inch angle welded to the channel. Grate openings are sized to prevent the passage of a one-and-one-eighth-inch diameter sphere.
