This 60-minute fire-rated door head assembly features a hollow metal door frame set within cold-formed steel framing. A 3-5/8 inch metal stud is nested in a metal track above the door frame. The surrounding partition consists of five-eighths inch Type X gypsum board on each side over metal studs, with insulation included where required. A tight-fitting smoke and draft control assembly is integrated at the door.
