A 1-1/2-inch perimeter steel handrail is primed, painted, and spaced at a minimum of 1-1/2 inches from the concrete panel face. The handrail connects to a 1/4-inch by 3-inch diameter steel plate that welds to the handrail and secures to the panel with three 1/4-inch by 3-inch expansion bolts spaced at 6 feet on center and 6 inches from each end. All welds are ground smooth with pits filled as required, and the handrail features a return to the wall.
