This interior storefront jamb detail connects an aluminum storefront framing system to a scheduled wall framed with two eighteen gauge metal studs mechanically fastened at jambs. Continuous wood blocking is secured between the metal stud framing and the storefront frame. Five-eighths inch gypsum board over metal stud framing finishes the wall partition, protected with a metal gypsum corner bead.
