A continuous wide flange beam connects to a supporting wide flange or hollow structural section column using a three-quarter inch plate. The connection utilizes four three-quarter inch diameter A325N bolts typically, unless noted otherwise, spaced with usual gage dimensions and one and a half inch minimum edge distances. One-half inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the web using three-sixteenth inch fillet welds on three sides. Web and flange minimum welds adhere to American Institute of Steel Construction specifications.
