A precast reinforced concrete wheel stop is set upon asphaltic concrete paving over aggregate base compacted over natural grade. The wheel stop measures seven and one-half inches wide by five and one-half inches high, with overall lengths of six feet for shared spaces or four feet for single parking spaces. Two number four rebar dowels are embedded eighteen inches minimum into natural grade and set flush with the top of the wheel stop. Epoxy adhesive may be used in lieu of rebar for concrete slab installation with owner's approval. Asphalt paving and aggregate base thicknesses are specified per civil drawings.
