A steel pipe handrail is supported by a steel bracket attached to a steel pipe guardrail. The assembly maintains a minimum clearance of 1 1/2 inches and a maximum clearance of 3 1/2 inches, with a 6-inch dimension and a 2 1/4-inch radius bend. Notes specify that the handrail shall run continuously along the full length of the stair at 34 inches above the nosing, extending horizontally 12 inches beyond the top nosing, continuing to the slope for one tread width beyond the bottom nosing, and finishing with an additional horizontal extension of 12 inches.
