A one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe handrail is mounted to a concrete panel using a handrail bracket with concealed expansion fasteners at the top, bottom, and intermediate locations as required to meet code. A metal spacer sits between the bracket and the wall, maintaining a one-and-a-half-inch clearance from the panel face. The rail ends return to the wall, and the entire assembly stands three feet zero inches to the toe of the outer tread. The handrail must remain smooth with no sharp corners, and the adjacent wall surface must be free of abrasive elements.
