A rubber transition strip by Burke/Mercer number 400 or equal bridges the height difference between a sealed concrete slab and glue-down carpet. The carpet sits on the concrete subfloor with a maximum height of one-quarter inch below the threshold. The transition strip limits the vertical elevation change to a maximum of one-half inch above finished floor level with a slope ratio of two maximum. A note refers to threshold number 14.
