A steel stringer with bar grating and diamond plate treads bears onto a concrete foundation via an inside angle connector measuring 4 inches by 4 inches by 1/4 inch and 0 feet 8 inches long. The angle connects using two 3/4-inch diameter anchor bolts or expansion bolts spaced at 5 inches on center. The concrete foundation is reinforced with two continuous number 5 rebars and features a 1-foot 6-inch depth with 3 inches of clear cover. Fillet welds of 3/16-inch size secure the connection at the base of the stringer. Angle connectors for the treads are provided by the manufacturer and coordinated with civil drawings.
