A one-hour wall assembly per schedule is constructed with one layer of type X gypsum board on each side of the framing. The gypsum board extends a minimum of one-half inch into the hollow metal frame. Fourteen gauge steel Z-clips are welded three to the frame per side and attached with metal screws to the stud. The opening framing is sized per detail, and the door is installed per the door schedule.
