An upper or lower tubular side rail connects to a quarter-inch thick steel bolting flange with a typical one-eighth-inch fillet weld. Four one-quarter-inch diameter zinc-plated steel bolts with nylon insert locknuts and washers secure the assembly through pre-drilled holes in the flange. The plate features typical one-quarter-inch corner radii and is dimensioned symmetrically about centerline axes.
