Two adjacent concrete tilt-up wall panels are separated by a one-half-inch vertical joint spanning continuously from the footing to the top of the panel. A backer rod is installed at each face of the wall within the joint cavity. Continuous sealant is applied over the backer rod on both the interior and exterior faces.
