The furring partition assembly consists of C-H studs and one-inch gypsum shaftliner with insulation and double layers of gypsum board on the framing members. Stud bracing is provided at the vertical midpoint and top of each stud at a maximum spacing of 48 inches on center. Continuous acoustic sealant is applied at sound isolation walls, and insulation is placed on the opposite plumbing side. The double-stud partition assembly similarly incorporates double layers of gypsum board on each side with continuous acoustic sealant.
